Monitorama PDX postponed… again

TL;DR As a result of the rise of COVID-19 cases brought on by the highly infectious Delta variant, we are postponing Monitorama PDX to the summer of 2022. Passes for the event remain valid, but we will graciously honor any ticket refund requests (please email us here).

The gist of it

Although vaccinations have proven effective at minimizing the symptoms or outright prevention of COVID-19 and the Delta variant, the effects of the virus on the unvaccinated population continues to have ripple effects on events, travel, and normal daily activities.

While I have full confidence that our policies and procedures would have provided a safe environment for all Monitorama attendees and partners, we’ve had a number of crucial participants withdraw from the scheduled 2021 event.

Rather than push forward and deliver a compromised experience, we’ve made the difficult decision to once again postpone the event to dates next year. All tickets purchased for our original 2020 dates through today will continue to be honored for the eventual dates, and our refund policy remains intact.

What’s Next?

Attendees

Monitorama PDX is being rescheduled for the summer of 2022 (looking at dates in late June). Final dates will be announced publicly within the next month or so. If you’ve already booked a hotel with the Mark Spencer or Portland Marriott City Center, representatives from the hotel should be in touch with you soon to coordinate your booking changes. Event registrations will be valid for the new dates.

Speakers

I will be reaching out to each of you confirm your availability for the new dates. If you need to cancel or require special accommodations, we will work with you to help in any way possible.

Sponsors

We will be in touch soon to discuss your sponsorship options for 2022.

Thank you

As difficult as the past couple years have been (for everyone), I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everyone’s support and continued interest in Monitorama. We remain committed to delivering a safe, healthy, and amazing IRL experience for you as soon as it’s logistically possible to do so.

In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and we’ll see you back in Portland next year. 💖
